there is a documentary out "hard targets soft bodies" that shows an MSF doctor working on a 10yr old girl that was hit in the eye with a 7.62x39 falling to the ground.
 
Its a wonder everyone in that region of the world isn't def.

Unless the fired rounds are encountered at a low trajectory where the velocity is still substantial. Any rounds fired straight up or close to will return to earth at their terminal velocity. Not their initial velocity. Although the last 4 or 5 rounds the guy fired would be a serious problem. I didn't see any look of embarrassment on his face.

well the doc told me different ..........and it still is not a good idea to be throwing lead in the air.
