Wow, I'll be keeping and eye on that! Will it have to have an 18.5" upon import in order to be unrestricted or can it make it into the unrestricted class from restricted with a bbl extension?

The correct barrel lengths are 13 inches for the CQC, 16 inches for the Standard (S), and 20 inches for the Long Barrel (LB; formerly the SV / Sniper Variant).

I doubt it, it was intended for SOCOM, if they won't let PS90s out then I'd say there's no chance for the SCAR.

But there is more of a market for the SCAR then for the PS90s. I wouldn't rule it out just yet...

There's alot of gun stores in the US that are claiming they're going to get and sell FN SCARs. I'm sure there's an awful lot of pressure on FN USA to put out a semi-civilian model and you can bet there'll be alot of 20" "sniper" versions, considering how most people who use and buy rifles these days only shoot them at the range.

What wouldn't they include? It's a pretty bare bones gun as is. No integral sight or fancy do-dads.

Cool- the guy in the demo is a lefty and operates it with ease... do-dads appear to be geared towards ambidexterous handling. A gun mfg acknowledging the existance of sinster shooters?! What is this world coming to? What's next? Left handers being allowed to vote? Date right handers? Allowed to inter-marry? It's a slippery slope...
