You should chuck up some more dough and machine up a higher cap mag.
 
Doesn't look like very fun. Too much reloading. Now if you could load feed that with 200-300 rounds, then we are talking.
 
Make your own mags, how hard could it be. (probably quite hard)

Hack the top off of a steel/hot lips and use it as a base for a new mag. I suppose you could also use the body of a reuglar Ruger mag.
 
Lemme see, total cost was over $1000.

Base gun was an old Mossberg tube-feed semi.

I was hoping to modify it to use 10/22 mags, but that didn't work so well.

Ended up using a batch of old Cooey .22 mags that I came across for a decent price ($100 for 5)

I got the M2 from Collectors Source, they sell the scaled down non-firing replicas.
