Just curious if anyone has ever seen or knows if its still possible to find original redfield ART scopes or possibly pvs an 2 starlight scopes that used to be on the xm21 match rifles back in the day.

Ive seen pictures but havnt seen ones of people who actually own these scopes , what would projected costs be ? and how much would the quality differ than say todays intermediate cost scopes ?

Leatherwood, not Redfield. You might find a used one, but it won't be easy. Leatherwood ART's were expensive. Wolverine sells the new one that sort of looks like the original. $459 and $599.

Reconditioned AN PVS2 Gen 1 Starlight is around but image quality is poor. M16 GI scope mount is near impossible to get.

Leatherwood didn't make that many ART/ART 2 m14 rifle scopes. The US Gvt/Israeli Gvt bought most of them. After that it was military contract/police contract.
I bought military contract one's direct from Leatherwood in Texas and Israeli contract one's from military dealer. US one's have steel mounts/israeli ones have aluminum mounts.
