OMG, I saw most of those pics in Big Bucks Magazine over the years and I'm speechless. Amazing
There just Toys Compared to some of the real big whitetail in the northern bush.We have seen them, but couldnt get shots off at them.
Yup. Just love the beasts from Alberta. I wonder how many were officially scored? i didn't go through the entire book, but i only see one Villemaire buck in the record book, at 167 inches. Although some have big deductions, several others should be contenders in the Alberta Record book, which by the way, came out in print this week.

We don't hunt mature bucks for the record book. We hunt them because they are ellusive, wise, smart, cunning than any other North American big game. Moreover, it's a family thing that has been in our bloodline for several generations, and being with each other in the northern wilderness is what it's all about. We enjoy each others company and daily there is some kind of story back at deer camp over supper. The jokes, teasing and laughter are endless, and of course hanging up big bucks. Life is good!!!
Congradulations to your girlfriend! What a beautiful big 4x4. Ask my son, I always wanted to harvest one of those big guys. I love the mass, tine length.......everything! WOW!We do the same, for the same reasons, only in addition we score them. Sometimes just for bragging rights, but if its record worthy, we'll submit it. Chasing the monster makes the blood flow, but saying you're on the top 20 records in Alberta is another
.
My Girlfriend scored 164 with her first deer in 2010. She still has a buzz... not to mention she has heard all the big rack jokes

Some nice AB bucks, good variety of non typicals and typicals. But most important the memories, and bonds that are created last forever. My family has been hunting & trapping in northern AB for 7 generations, I was going to add some AB giants to your thread but I think I'll just add it to the sticky Big game thread pic, if there isn't one already. I do disagree with one point, I thought the big bruiser whiteys were the most cunning, elusive and challenging to hunt that was until I caught the old wapiti bug. There's nothing like the sound of a blood curdling bugle in the morning air 100 yards away and closing in.
