Vintage .22 ammo

I was given some ammo and these .22 were in the group. Box is unopened. I was going to ask if anyone knew what year they might be from but then I took a good look at the bottom of the box. It is stamped Department Of National Defence. It has the broad arrow C marking along with June, 1941. So it answered my question but I thought some might like to see the box.



 
Cool find ; the Dept. of National Defense stamp adds to the mystery......maybe DND target rounds used for training during WW2....
 
I'm sorry, those are military property and to avoid prosecution, please ship them to me at your cost and I will forward them to the proper authorities ;)
Nice find, would look great with a display of military trainers. I think 1941 date would pre-date the C No7 or Cooey Model 82, but would be suitable for the No 2 Mk IV

I have a few trainers but unfortunately none are Enfields. Guess I'll have to acquire a rifle to go with the ammo!!!
