Vintage 9mm Ammo from Europe

My grandfather has this in his basement, he brought it over from Finland in the 70s. This is the only box he had, take a look if your interested.

Nice clean looking mil ammo and probably a fairly hot load for all around use including sub machine use. I recognize the Sinoxid marking as I have seen that on premium Euro hunting rifle ammo. Not sure if it stands for the company, powder , or priming type but I would not be afraid of issues or firing it. Hope this adds interest==Dieseldog!

All I know is it's a "state arsenal" type manufactured ammo in 1943-1944. Must have been made December/January.

Finnish is apparently a unique language. I have a friend from Norway and she says she can understand Swedish OK, and vise-versa, but Finnish she says "I have no idea what the h*ll they are saying"

I think Sinoxid stands for non corrosive. nice looking stuff. mil spec primer sealer on primer and around the bullet also .

It was made by Valtion Patruunatehdas, Lapua, Finland. Actually pretty common down here in the US. Lots of 1940s production was repacked, as above, and brought to North America in the 1950s-60s by Sam Cummings of InterArms.
