Hi,
So the old Bushnell made in Japan, glasses is supposed to be made by Bausch & Lomb. I have few of them. Early Banner and scopechief IV and VI and yes, glasses look quit clear. I also got a Bausch & Lomb and wondering if they are similar quality since glasses are ''B&L''
If you have to pick one of these for your hunting game, which one would you take ?

I would sell em all to me and get something newer. But really it depends on the power of the scopes you have and what you intend on doing with em. I have an old 1.5-4 scope chief on my 30-06 carbine and I love it.

Not just the glass. Bushnell never made their own scopes, they did the marketing and got others to make the product to their specifications. B&L's Japanese production was a source until they decided to get out of making and selling 'scopes and binos. Bushnell bought that division of B&L and continued to market B&L as a separate brand for a while, eventually absorbing them entirely (the Bushnell 3200 and 4200 Elite models were redesigned B&L 3000 and 4000 models.) An old Bushnell with the B&L marking was made in a Japanese B&L factory and is a good quality item from its time.

I have a Bushnell Banner 4x40 LiteSite with the B&L stamp and it is a good scope. All else being equal, take the scope that has the configuration that best serves the task at hand.
