He guys,
Been awhile, so I thought I would post some pics of my ammo collection. I collect mostly vintage Winchester sporting rifles, so the boxes I collect are mainly calibers for those models. Looks like I can only attach 7 pics, so will put more in next post...
Enjoy.
Matt

Nice collection...but you still need 7-30 Waters...

I know they are hard to come, but, but I am generally only collecting more vintage cartridges.
Thanks for the compliments. Yes, it is very hard to find real good boxes up here, they are few and far between. But, every once in awhile something shows up.
Yeah, I always tended towards the more colourful boxes, lol.

Interesting collection! What's your criteria for the age, if I may ask? Nothing newer than 50 years (1970)?

While I do have some a bit more recent, mid 60s seems to be roughly the cut off, and has more to do with it was around then that they stopped producing the kind of nice graphics and colours that catch my eye.
Yes, while some folks prefer rarity, condition is everything for me for my old lever guns and ammo boxes. So while my collection is quite small relative to some, it is nice. Most boxes I have are mint or near mint, many remain factory sealed. The two piece early red Savage box just came out of an original crate. Can’t get much nicer than that.
Thanks for the compliments. Aren’t a whole lot of guys collecting boxes up here, but if anyone has pics to share, I would enjoy seeing them.

Very nice collection for sure. Makes me feel like an idiot for throwing my empty old boxes out!!!!

I only collect full boxes myself, but empty or full, they all look nice on display. And, nice boxes are getting very hard to find.
I would update what I said earlier to say mid to late 60s, and some early 70 boxes I collect.
