Vintage optics

Been a few here on the EE lately.

I agree,I regularly check the optics section of the EE and there have been several very nice examples of " vintage " scopes for sale in the past while. As Kamlooky had mentioned though the term vintage is somewhat open to interpretation, for me now in my early 60's that may mean something different than to say someone 20-30 years younger.

Sorry I'm new to posting on gunnutz and learning the community. I'm looking for peep sights and scopes that I can add to my collection of Savage firearms that date between 1915 and 1960.

I have had good luck at gun shows. Some are cloudy and need cleaning. Some have broken or missing cross hairs. Are you able to do repairs? Most vintage or classic scopes are not nitrogen filled so that makes it easier. Fine cross hair wire can be found on ebay. The last show I scored a Weaver B6 and a G2.5 for $10 total. I am trying to get out of Weaver scopes but the package came with a rubber eye piece to fit one of my Mossberg scopes. I see BC is your location and there are some good shows such as Chilliwack March 21/22 and Kamloops a week or so ;later.
