IMG_0732.jpgIMG_0731.jpgRecently purchased a West German made Weatherby that was made in 1969. It is fitted with a Divari scope mounted with a Claw system which enables the scope to be mounted and dismounted without changing the zero. As this mount is very expensive to install, I am guessing the scope is of the same vintage. It is very clear and has the heavy German T type recticle. As you can see in the photo with the caps removed, there are 4 small screws, one of which on each turret shows signs of use. So, is this the screw that should be loosened in each to adjust windage/elevation? Also note that there is a center mark dot and 3 dots at about a quarter down from the center. Any info on use and age of this scope would be appreciated.IMG_0730.jpgIMG_0729.jpg

'sometimes' the screw is there to allow a shooter to zero at a particular range (100 m or yds) then loosen the screw so that the turret marks can be aligned (realigned) with the witness mark on the scope. Then the screw is retightened. Therafter if you adjust your elevation (or windage) for a different range...you can quickly reacquire your original zero...assuming you are using the same load. But would suggest you try to find the factory instructions for your scope before trusting me. They are very nice scopes!

Thanks AP. Unfortunately the scope is too old for a manual to be available. Hoping it is zero'ed somehat close so I don't have to start tinkering. The stock was pretty dinged up so I sent it out for refinishing. Will see how the scope works when I get it back.
