Hi Everyone,

It has been some time since I posted but thought some of you may find this interesting. If you have or have considered a virtual realty setup like the HTC Vive their is a clays training simulator with proper leads and a soon to be released controller that lets you track your real shotgun. http://clazer.club/

Here is the gun attachment. http://clazer.club/2017/02/18/vr-gun-controller-prototype-for-real-guns/

For the "you will shoot you eye out people" the trigger is not usable with the setup.

I will be getting a prototype of the gun tracking portion soon. But it is quite fun with just the tracked controllers. I will pot updates if their is any interest.

Could be cool!

I will say the simulator the OTA always has set up at the Sportsman Show is lackluster, I imagine that VR would be better assuming appropriate effort was put into programming the environment.

It is quite impressive. Hard to say if it has improved my game but it seems to have. But the vive controller are so light the gun attachment will make a big difference in emersion. I wonder how the cost compares to the setup you are referring to. You could get the vive based setup if you didn't have a computer already for around 2000$ or so i would guess. Less if you have a good computer. Lots of other good shooting games also.

If only VR headsets weren't so expensive I'd grab this today. Although the animations look like a college computer project.

The quality of games varies a lot depending on the game. Raw Data is not college computer project look but Rec Room definitely has that look for example. But if you ever get a chance to give it a try. You mind excepts the reality almost right away. Picking up a gun in Onward for example loading a mag and cycling the charging handle is quite an experience. Sadly flat videos don't do vr justice you have to put the headset on to get the depth and presence.
