OK so I've been considering a replacement for my UTG handguard with something "decent"

So I've looked what's out there and have found this little one and am asking some owners to chime in here.

My questions are:

Is it a good quality/build?
-(Other than having a VLTOR stamp)

Would it/does it stand up to abuse?
-(lot of firing/dropping/crawling around with it)

Does it feel comfortable?
-I know it has 'rail plates' you can mount anywhere but how does it feel in hand? is it too wide/tall? When you mount the rails do they feel/look awkward

My AR is just my toy... I dont compete with it yet. But if I replace the handguard for something IM going to use/abuse than I want my moneys worth.

And any opinions (other than get this/that without good reason) are appreciated.

Thanks

Luke

The CASV mounts to the receiver rail which raises any optics up another level. For the weight and the trouble, I would suggest the Daniel Defense Omega rail. 100% free float, and "drop in". Takes about 10 minutes to install and it doesn't permanently modify the rifle(neither does the CASV ;)). The Omega is lighter, and thinner. I'm not sure if its cheaper but it can be had through Wolverine. I'm not sure if anyone carries VLTOR handguards.
