I am getting handed down to me a Voere Kufstein Austria- Laufstahl 3 in 7x57
Cananyone give me any info on this rifle as I cannot find anything about it. Thanks

Voere is a great rifle. I have a .270 that I will probably keep in my family for a long time.... Of course, it will depend on the shape etc. but I have had nothing but great experiences with my Voere.

I have a Voere in 308 norma mag ,with mine the rifle will fire if the trigger is pushed forward also, a guy I knew had one in 308 win same thing with the trigger

Usually that is a single set trigger but it shouldn't fire when pushed forward, just reduce the pull to the rear after being set forward. Maybe somebody has incorrectly adjusted the trigger.

The 21XX series are re-worked M/98 (Santa Barbara for the most - they bought a very large supply). The work is done to a very good quality. Depending on what you get you may have an inertia firing pin, a set-trigger and a new and ###y bolt shroud.

I agree with Silverback, your triggers were badly set. Most people don't even know what a set trigger is and try to lower the weight of the trigger way too low. A set-trigger is a complete spring-loaded mechanism that helps the release of the sear by hitting a lever. Unscrew all setting screws, and slowly screw it back. The trigger by itself, when un-set, should have a heavy pull. It must be an easy pull only when the trigger us set, means pushed to the front.

Check this out, it's in english, BTW.

grandfather has the same thing in 308 NM. But doesn't look like the 2165 on the Voere site. I actually thought it was a Parker Hale for the longest time, but then I noticed the "Laufhstal 3" on the barrel along with the VOERE name stamp.

I googled the Laufhstal 3 and apparently it means "barrel steel grade 3"...supposedly a high level of steel over there .

Nice rifle though and I look forward to getting to carry it someday....

Terrible rifle. Obsolete, ineffective calibre. Inaccurate, wood warps badly if even mildly damp. Never holds zero. I'll do you a favour and take it off your hands for shipping costs.

Trust me...
