Hi everyone:

I have a ruger 10/20 that had etxracting proplem. I replaced the the stcok extractor with the edge extracor. Now after another 10,000 rounds i have extracting problem again. Should i replace the extractor again? Just wonder how lonf the edge extractor last.

In your case, maybe about 10,000 rounds? :D

Who can say how long it will last...its metal..wears out. I have no idea how many rounds mine has been through...
 
Is it rounded off? If it fixed your problem the first time just get another one, they are cheap.
 
I don't know about the tolerances required, but perhaps you could take a very small file and 'sharpen' it just a tiny bit until the tip is in better shape?

The worst that can happen is that it won't extract the case at all and you'll need a new one (which you already do, most likely). Worth a try IMO.
 
Or If you had your barrel out.It may not be alined to the extractor.The cut in the barel isnt at 3 0 clock but slightly lower.
