Does anyone know of any Canadian distributors who may have the Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor for the 597? Thanks in advance

Please no "just get a 10/22" comments. I ordered one last year and sent it back to Ruger because it looked like it was milled by a monkey.
 
check with Sylvester Sports in Bonnyville, Ab 780 826 4458, biggest Volquartsen dealer that I have seen that actually has guns/parts
I'm sure if they don't have the part, they can get

I talked to them last year about getting the parts. they never stocked them and would have to get from someone else.

Crap site but great people. this topic comes up form time to time here and on other forums and this is who usually gets mentioned.
 
I bought mine from a Milarms in Alberta. I just can't remember much about it, they had it in stock and shipped right away, my only complaint was the shipping cost, 90% of the size and weight was from their catalogue.
Once you get it I'd highly recommend installing it from inside a heavy clear plastic bag, the extractor spring and pin are under a lot of tension and the pin is REALLY tiny and hard to find if it flies across the room. I used a dental pick from Princess Auto to install my extractor. Worked better than the jewelers screwdriver. Good Luck
