Hey all. I bought a base model ruger 10/22 and picked up a archangel 556 kit and bought a volquartsen barrel. Now my issue is the v block. It doesn't hold the barrel in the receiver. So after a dozen shots the barrel has pushed out enough it doesn't eject or fire. Now what do I need to do to hold this barrel in? New vblock? Taper down the point where the vblock screws in? I'm lost a bit

I suggest that you reinstall the original barrel and compare what it looks like to what the replacement barrel looks like in your receiver. The difference should be very obvious, as should the problem. There is no way that I would ever attempt to fire a round with that barrel just sitting in the receiver, as is shown.

I had the V block installed. But the lip on the barrel is 1/8-3/16" away from the v block.

Obviously there is a problem with the barrel. You need to contact whoever you purchased it from for a replacement, and whatever you do, don't try and fire live rounds with that barrel.
