Having recently bought a Ruger 22/45, I came across this nutnfancy video about installing a VQ accurizing kit.

After watching the vid, and searching on here, I decided to order from Brownells. Instead of ordering the complete accurizing kit for $120+, I ordered the:
- target trigger $35
- target sear $28
- mkii hammer bushing $8
This was my first order from Brownells, and it was very painless. Shipping was only $10. I got shipping notice within 12 hours of placing my order, and it arrived at my mailbox in 6 business days. No issues with customs, smooth sailing.
The install itself was pretty straight forward, thanks to the detail in the video.
Onto the results. The mkii hammer bushing gets rid of the magazine disconnect. You can now drop the hammer without having a mag inserted, which is a real nice feature when tearing down and re-assembling the 22/45 for cleaning. Now the mags also drop completely free when doing mag changes. Well worth the $8 IMO.
The target sear is probably the best value upgrade. If you are only going to do one upgrade to your 22/45, I recommend the sear. After swapping it out, I found the break to be clean and consistent at under 3#. It's not on par with say an Armco trigger job, but for a sub $30 drop-in upgrade, it's pretty sweet.
The target trigger is nice, but not as nice as I hoped. Having the pre- and post-travel adjustment screws is great, but there is still a bit of take-up that I just can't get rid of. One think I like is the post-travel screw is right in the middle of the trigger face - I can "index" my trigger finger off the screwhead giving me a consistent trigger engagement.
So far results at the range have been GREAT. The new drivetrain parts make an already fun gun even funner to shoot. I'm able to get decent groups even with cheap plinking ammo. So far all my shooting has been between 10 and 20m.
So thats it for my quick VQ review. Before anyone complains that
