Looks like Vortex will be releasing a Aimpoint T2 type clone in 2016. Reticle is 2moa runs on one AAA battery:

I have no experience of Vortex vs Holosun. Any comments? I say this because I do like the Holosun circle dot (Eotech like) and was thinking of trying one, but this Vortex AR/T2 has peaked my interest.

I do have some Aimpoints, but can't afford to put these on everything.:p

Seen that the other day as well it's interesting. I have had no problems with there 3 optics I have ran. May give this a try as the price point is tempting

Rear sight window looks a little small but it could be just the pics.

One major difference that I noticed was the battery life 5,000 hours (Vortex) versus 50,000 (Holosun,Aimpoint)...I'm sure that will matter to some folks.

Looks like the battery compartment is built in as part of the riser? Good location and easy access but I guess that would limit the red dot's use in shotguns and other set ups that require a lower co-witness?

I don't mind the watch batteries personally, since several of my red dots and a few of my illuminated scopes use them, and they last forever.

Heyyyy I wrote that thing! :p

I'm actually most curious about the prismatic version. I've tinkered with their other spitfires, but the controls and layout of this one make a lot more sense to me.

I do have experience with Holosun, but my experience was abnormal.

I'm one of those guys that will probably buy it just because. Ive had great luck with everything Vortex, they look pretty good for the price point and the AAA battery is nice. Count me in.
