Can anyone confirm if the bronze colour of the Vortex Razor Gen 2 1-6x24 is lighter in colour than the other scopes in the Razor lineup?

Had some custom cerakoting done lately to my 3 gun kit, and all pictures on the net seem to show a lighter colour on the 1-6x24 which I plan on asking Santa for, for Christmas. I've held the Razor 1-6x24 but never seen it with another Razor scope to compare.

Our 1-6x24 Razors seem to be a shade or so lighter than the other larger scopes. We are not sure if this is standard or simply a result of one batch of anodizing being a little different from the others.

That may be possible. I have the 4.5-27, and a couple of my buddies have the 1-6. I haven't put them right beside each other. But they never jumped out at me being any different really. Maybe they have changed the color slightly over the years.

Yeah, All the vortex bronze cerakoting I have seem to be more of a match the larger scopes in pictures vs. the 1-6x24 razor.

If it is a case of "batching" I guess I'll shop around....yes, I'm picky, especially $2000+ picky

I recall this topic coming up on Snipershide awhile back. Might be good to have a look there as I believe there was a difference in some pics there.

why not contact Vortex Canada and ask them? they have a pretty decent support department, then you would have your answer from the source instead of speculation....

Took a while for me to get to it,
It was also hard to get the good lighting so we see the difference.
I took 3 different pics including different camera flash values.
In real life and can be seen in some pics, the 1-6 has a light brown colour to it, hard to distinguish bronze in it, as the 4-27 is definitely bronze

thanks for posting, I went to a shop and noticed they are lighter. Asked the vortex rep at phoenix gun shop last weekend and he had no idea. Never had any on hand to compare.

Nice rifles
