vortex crossfire II 6 x 24 vs bushnell trophy 6 x 24

Bushnell now make a 4.5 x 18 for the 6.5 Creedmore.
I know it's late but just thought i'd chip in and let you know.

I have a crossfire ii 6-18 on a 223. Good, lots of eye relief but the low endness catches up to you at powers over 16... starts to get hard to focus to a crisp clean image. You’ll notice eye fatigue and blurryness. It’s OKAY but I knew what I was getting. It’s quite good for what it does, only the odd time do I flick it to full power

I also have a Trophy xlt 4-12 on a 22 of mine. It’s decent for what it is on. A 22.. Its Like looking they a coke bottle bottom kinda. I couldn’t imagen looking through the same glass at 24 power.

I don’t think the crossfire would be very good at all at 24 power either. I’m sure the eye fatigue would be pretty rough. Of the two i would say it’s the better option for sure.

So you asked for a comparison but I’ll my 2 cents on some scopes

It’s better to have a lower mag scope with better glass than higher with #### glass. Because it just sucks. Having a 24x zoom isn’t a proirty for me; it comes with drawbacks. You need good glass to pull it off.

Budget scopes that I’ve thought to be deadly though I haven’t owned one (wanted to!) is a Bushnell legend ultra HD 4.5-14. they go for cheap on the EE.

If you want big zoom and can swallow a bill. There is the Viper HS -which I like (buddy has a 4-16.). Great features, dec glass, and monstrous eye relief. But that’s prob 6-700$ on EE.

Haven’t owned but not a fan of Nikon’s, looked in store a lot and just didn’t like feel/eye relief preformance.

Leopold’s $ but a VX-3i is a slick bet

I personally hugely dislike the Diamondback line. Haven’t tried the HP versions tho. Terrible eye relief and quite bland.

Elite Tac 5-15’s must be decent (eye relief knight be short) you can also pick up bigger zoom elites. Buddy has one a 6-24 elite that is a slick unit. Their glass is good

Also apparently there is a vortex strike eagle up for 639 for a 3-18x model. It comes in 4-24 too. It’s Cheaper than the Viper

Long story short. Good glass costs, bad glass sucks!
