Hey right now I’m debating between:
-vortex crossfire 2-7x32 BDC
-vortex dimondback 1.75-5x32 BDC

It’s going to be put on a muzzleloader max 100 yard shots mostly 50yard and under shots so both magnifications are fine.

The debate is if the extra price tag on the diamondback ($90 more) is justified.
Is the dimondback that much better?

I have a diamondback and a Crossfire II and did a little test. The diamondback is WORSE in every way than the Crossfire II except one. The crossfire II has a very narrow field of view.

Honestly, they're both pretty poor. You can do MUCH better for the same money - or less!

Some of this site's sponsors have the VX-Freedom grand slam (for muzzleloaders) in stock, for example.

I don't have any crossfire scopes but I do have a 1.75-5x32 diamondback. For the price I think it's a great scope. When comparing it to my 2-10 Razor LH I don't find the clarity or brightness that much worse. If you got a 4-12 diamondback then ya I can see there being clarity or brightness issues. My only complaint with the 1.75-5 is I find the reticule useless at that magnification, and I find it a little distracting since all the horizontal lines are bunched together. They offer a normal duplex reticle for it in the US but not here for some reason.
