I have just heard of this scope the other day. This is a 400$ scope and comes with tactical exposed turrets. Has anyone used this scope? Just curious about how well it tracks and what not before I consider buying.

It's actually a $100.00 scope that you pay for 4 times . This is the great Vortex warranty . Send it in and they send you another one .

I had a look at one at wholesale the other day. Seems decent enough, glass seemed a bit better than some of the other diamondbacks I have owned, reticle is nice too. Positive clicks. Obviously I didn’t test tracking or anything like that. Probably be ok but if tracking is a priority sightron has a good record for tracking. I am saving for a STAC for the modern Hunter, not a lot more at around $700.

I have the 4x12 version on my 308, no problems with it, tracks good, clear, if on a budget you cant go wrong with it. 70 moa adjustment so with a 20 moa rail you can push out the distance pretty good

I use one on a .308 Savage 10. I am really impressed with it. Clear, smooth and nice feel to the turrets.
When I got home from the range, I plugged all my data into the Vortex Ballistics Calculator and their recommended number of click for “x” yards with “y” bullet was exactly what I had come up with. I thought that was pretty cool.

The downsides? The marks on the turrets don’t line up exactly with the line on the scope body; not a big deal for me, it’s only off by a hair or two. Also, I kinda wish it had parallax adjustment; however, at this price I can understand why it’s not there. If anything, this makes me focus more on consistency with cheek weld.

I’ve never looked through, or even held, a Nightforce, Schmidt & Bender, high end Leupold, or $1000+ scope of any brand so I guess I don’t know what I’m missing and I’m cool with that. For the $400 I threw down on this scope, it’ll do everything I need it to do for now. I’d buy it again if I had the choice.

Good luck!

I'm using one for a budget build in which I'm trying to get everything on the cheap.

Glass is decent, features workable for the price point. Would also like to have side focus but given the ranges it'll be shot at, not really an issue. I like the pronounced tactile clicks and the adjustments seem very repeatable.

For what it is, I think it's pretty good. The 3200 10x is a good scope also, but the fixed mag is a bit limiting. I used it on a previous budget build. I like the ability to drop down in mag for tracking stuff if it's moving. Just depends on how you use the rifle.

Have you had the opportunity to compare the turrets to Viper exposed turrets such as the PST and HST lines? I noticed this scope as well and am curious if they get the same turrets or a more budget friendly offering.

Unfortunately can't wrap up 1300$ on a sightron or nxs.. I owned an nxs last year and had to sell it because I felt like I had a gold bar in the safe. I'm primarily using it for targets and coyotes out to 6/700 yards max. Figure this scope would be a smart buy for a guy with a 1 year old kid and a mortgage. I think I'm going to go ahead and order it. Unfortunately I can't find a video on it's tracking accuracy which is my primary concern. I know the glass is nice. Maybe I'll do a 100 yard box test and leave some feedback on this thread.

I have a PST 2-10x32 here and had a Golden Eagle until recently. The turrets are definitely cheaper than on either of those. There's no zero stop, of course, and the 1" tube means a lot less space for knobs and dials.

I haven't seen the HST but I believe it has a zero stop so I'm guessing these are different. It's been quite a while but I don't recall the ones on the 3200 10x being much different than this. I mean it's no S&B and I'd rather have zero stops and side focus but for the money, it seems about what you get. There could be better options for a tac-target gun in the $300-500 range; I wouldn't really know. I just happened to run into one of these, so I'm giving it a try.
