Vortex Fury, whe are they?

I ran the Sig Kilo 3ks for years and found them to be super effective, they range fast and getting your dope by linking to your Kestrel worked well. I've been running Vortex Fury 5000 ABs this year and like them better i every way. The LRF is just as fast and ranges just as far but having the full AB suite on board is even better than linking to a Kestrel, imo, as you never drop a connection or need the connection to "wake up". Being able to adjust the wind call in the binos is handy as well. The only way to improve them is to swap the ranging module for a 1550nm unit and etch in a mil reticle... Steiner make some like that you can purchase for the low price of about $10k, haha.

They've been great and are still my go to. When I wrote the prior post I had been using them for about 9 months. 2 years later and that all mostly holds true. They'll easily range past 2k yards handheld, the glass is good, the integrated ballistics is great, being able to store 3 profiles on the binos and easily swap between them is very convenient and changing/updating/adding profiles with the app is easy even for a guy like me who prefers to avoid integrating his phone and apps with everything. I don't really find I use the wind feature much at all but it's nice to have if you want to use it.

The things I'd love to see changed are still the same: 1550nm laser module, etched milling reticle and higher end glass (like Vortex' UHD binos) but all of those add serious cost (the Steiner M830r 1535nm are the closest and cost over $10k). I still believe that the Fury 5000ABs are the best value proposition for bino LRFs with an integrated ballistic solver. I can't really speak to the non-AB version but the laser and glass are the same so I don't see any issues there.
