I'm looking for a new scope for my Savage 10FCPK 223, and I'm looking at a couple. I have a PST 6x24x50 FFP on my Savage 10TR and it's been great, no issues and an all around decent scope. I was thinking about adding another, but non to be found at a reasonable price here in Saskatoon. I originally picked mine up for 1050 plus taxes as it was a display model a year ago. So, now in the price range I'm looking at the HSLR XLR FFP, The bushy Tactical 6x24x50 ffp with GR2 reticle in FFP, and am open to other ideas in that price range. Please post your idea's and why. I know lot's of people like to hate the Vortex but the HS LR 4x16 on my Springfield M1a has been great as has my PST. Help me out CGN'rs

You won't be disappointed. I have the Bushnell 6-24x50 with the G2 reticle, it's been a fantastic scope. The turret tracking has been very precise, and I love the G2 reticle.
Good choice

I'm in the same boat looking at the same scopes as well as the Zeiss Conquest. All 4 Vortex' from the Crossfire on up. Burris XTR-II and veracity's.

I found the Vortex reticle windage portion on the HS-LR difficult to see, perhaps since I'm over the age of voting...I HAD planned to purchase this scope yesterday as I've had good success with my Strike Eagle and their 1500 laser rangefinder

More homework and tons of conversations ( including 2 ex-snipers working behind 2 different gun shop counters) has more people recommending the PST Gen II illuminated reticle version

I'm also doing some homework on the new Nikon X1000 Tactical due out at the end of the month. I've had 4 scopes from Nikon with good success and just found out about this new scope

Getting a little itchy as my new BA Stealth 6.5 Creedmoor is sitting on my bench and I've got 3 days off in a week to shoot...
