I passed on a moose last season I cow called one in but it took its time coming in and I ran out of daylight. I passed up on it because with the low light I thought it was farther than what it really was. Returned the next morning with full daylight and realized the distance and definitely could've made the shot. I pace out or measure 100 yards when sighting my rifles in. Also the GF got her PAL and would like it to practice judging distances with her on different objects.
Anyone have experience with this range finder? Need something i can depend on, reliable, durable, and consistent and accurate range finder and came across a couple options. I've read up on this and the leupold models and decided the vortex is better priced also the leupold 1000 has been discontinued and I believe is replaced with the 1200 but for more money. I can still find the leupold 1000 on different websites but with no discounts and to be honest I don't want a discontinued model for full price.
