Vortex Razor 1-6! Anyone got one yet?

I just heard this morning that my pre-order should be here this week!

I'm super excited to try out the reticle and 1-6x power.

Has anyone here used one? What are your thoughts?

I have a viper 1-4 PST and have loved it for the two years I've been using it, but I'm pretty pumped about the upgrade to razor glass.

Ive been thinking of putting a 1-4 nightforce on my m14, but this looks almost better. How much did you get it for, and where?

Hi, I handled one today at P and D. It is a fantastic little scope and it is surprisingly heavy to pick up. Very very very easy to look thru!!! Loved it!
Am partial to the Vortex stuff though as already have the 5-20 Razor HD.
Met Phil today there too and had a good chat about spotting scopes. The staff sure know their stuff there!

It looked like a nice scope until I read it was second focal plane. What's the point of a BDC reticle that only works on 6x? I'd want to leave on 3-4x for most situations.

I had an opportunity to examne one at NSCC this year. Very interesting scope. The way I use a scope for Service Rifle, the second focal plane would be a selling point.

MSRP, plus tax, is going to scare two grand.
My brand new Leupold Mk. 4 cost less than half of that.

Price (MSRP) has gone up almost 300$ since it was first listed, and they still won't budge on offering more official reticles. AR15 has a write up about it, seems you can pester them for an alternate, but not advertised reticle.

Still holding out hope, as I would swap out the Acog for some 1-6 lovin!

I don't mind the reticle that's in there actually.

I keep looking at the horus stuff and all these hashmarks and thinking "that is too much stuff."

And yes, this would be for the Tavor. The 6.5x55 is in better hands now

That's a lot of coin for a Vortex product. Not that there's any wrong with them, but they haven't been around long enough to command prices like that. My thoughts anyhow.
