Vortex Razor Spotter

Has any one tried the Razor spotters? They sound to be pretty good. I was just checking out vortex's website and they are coming out with the 65mm lens this year. Little lighter than the 80mm and should be good for sheep hunting. Any suggestions good or bad? Thanks

I love my 85mm. Been using it for years. The mini-units have me awfully jealous now!

They're solid glass, and a sweet price. Plus the 85mm can use swarovski eyepieces if you want an upgrade down the line.

i love mine.
had it for a little while now and i couldnt lve without it. image is crisp and clear, low light condtons is like everything else but still acceptable.

i would stick with the 85mm, its your choice.

the only thing about mine that i dont like is the tripod. its too bouncy and as soon as i touch the spotting scope it moove. need a very good tripod(aka very stiff) to use with these things.

Manfroto tripods will get you there. I use the carbon fiber setup that I film my videos on, and it keeps the razor stable even at 60x

I use a manfroto and a vortex razor, it's a solid setup. Didn't know you could use Swarovski eye piece?

Had a good look at them last weekend. Love it. Already spent this years gear budget so it'll have to wait.

definitely has the same bayonet lug nemesis. so if you want to get yourself a 25-50 wide angle those are great.

not sure about the newest 3 part swarovskis though.
