Vortex red dot/ ar optics

There is a sale coming up at a store I live near and I was looking at getting an optic for my m4. I'm new to ar's and their accessories. I was looking at vortex but I'm open to any brand that is reasonably priced. Can you guys help me out? Price range is between $300-$400 but I might be willing to go a little higher. Thanks!

The Vortex Strikefire/SPARC red dots are decent for the money, their Venom red dot is also good (I have one on my Swiss Arms).

I'd also toss out the vortex Spitfire, not a red dot but etched bulls eye style illuminated reticule. Especially if you have stigmatim in either eye.

I've owned every vortex red dot there is all very good and unbearable warenty. For AR just buy the "high mount" or 1/3 co witness models. Otherwise they are too low.

In your range, the Bushnell TRS-25 and the Holosun will do the job.
There is some wash out in bright light with the Bushnell though.
The SPARC is probably the frontrunner IMO.

I would go something vortex. Whatever they *might* lack elsewhere, they more than make up for with excellent service and warranty

I've got a Sparc II on my Colt IUR, excellent red dot for the money.
