Any nutz have an opinion on which one to go with?

Right now price point is the driver.

Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 - $500

Primary Arms 1-6 - $420

Primary use would be 3 Gun.

Ive played quite a bit with the Strike Eagle. If you like the horseshoe reticle, as I do, get it. Such a nice little optic, and the only complaint I heard for it was that some guys dislike the reticle.

I like the SE reticle for my shooting games. The only areas that need a little buffing is the 1X is more 1.2X and the glass has quite a bit of distortion around the edges. It would also be nice if they put "off" settings between the brightness levels. Can't see how this would dramatically increase cost. Still it's quite a good optic for the money.

Sorry OP, no experience with the PA optic.

Not quite what you're after but I have a 1-6x Vortex Strike Eagle and a Primary Arms 1-8x

I like both and Ive heard reports they're all made in the same factory but somehow the Vortex has a more quality feel about it

They do have a fish eye effect around the edges and I`d be curious to compare it to something more high end to see how the glass clarity stacks up but for the price point they offer a lot

Do you have the platinum PA or the regular? I have heard good things about the Platinum, but the $ premium is a factor.

I have resigned myself to waiting for the Trijicon 1-8x with dual illumination (just a hope since the 1-6x dual illuminated version is scary good and that 1-8x would be a natural progression), but have considered the PA 1-8x (non platinum version) as a temporary inexpensive solution to my DMR needs.

I have the regular 1-8x which, as I understand it is a 1-6x PA/Vortex Strike Eagle on steroids

I like the 1-8x - probably my favourite scope - but I would like to try the higher end Platinum PA or, better still, the Trijicon 1-8x to see how much better it is

It could be a good stop gap, I found mine on EE and got a decent deal but they don't pop up too often from what I can see
