I bought one of the 8x36 ones a few years back, optically it doesn't seem as bright as my leupold rifle scope but a lot easier to stare through for long periods, I don't find it to be shaky.
It's held up well, granted my hunting is a fairly relaxed affair, no mountains or day long hikes crossing rivers.
Also it has good long eye relief, I have no issues getting a nice clean full image with it in front of my glasses.
I have glaucoma and my left eye has a hard time focusing on its own, so binoculars are useless for me, I just wish I could find a higher end unit.
I see leica and zeiss ones but they seem more tuned to bird watching and less likely to survive snow, fog and ice.
I would be willing to spend a lot more than I did on this solo, but no one really offers a nice hunting monocular, ideally one that has good built in caps on both ends or at least can take butler creek ones, my solo fits bc ones but only on the eye box end.
