Hi all,

I am planning to get an aimpoint T1 for my AR, and while shopping around I noticed the vortex SPARC... does anyone have any experience with the SPARC?
looking for any insight from users, ect... at a little over $200, I figure its worth asking about...
thanks!

Had a SPARC...then had another one, and another...all for the same gun. Then I got rid of my SPARC. Then I got an Aimpoint H1. And I'm still using my Aimpoint H1...the same one...not a second or third one...and it's on the same gun that the other SPARCs were on.

Moral of the story...you get what you pay for. Get the Aimpoint.

I have had two of them. Still have one. The other's electronics miserably failed on me and I sent it back. To Vortex's credit, they shipped me a new one which I promptly sold and replaced it with a TRS-25 which is still chugging along strong on the original battery. I have four or five TRS-25's which are about half the price of the SPARC's and in my opinion better layout of controls, better battery life and better performance all around. Worth looking at.

AS in another thread, H-1 or the T-1 if you need night vision stuff.

I learned a few times after cheaper purchases on varying firearm parts and upgrades.

Buy once, cry once.

If you have put some money into a firearm that you train or compete with, it only deserves to have a matching optic.

This is what the spirit of a firearm wants.

Just bought another H-1 today.

Builds may take a year to do, so I don't rush. When the funds permit, thats when I make the purchases.

thank you everyone for your insight... very much appreciated. Ended up going with Aimpoint... It came down to the fact that I decided not to put a Chinese optic on a $2500 AR..

Good call man. I was going to chime in a few posts back but didn't want to get in a big argument with the "I love vortex" warranty crowd. Owned a few, warranteed a few, Nuff said.
