I've had my sparc for about 2 years, and towards the end of this season of shooting, the odd time the dot would go out when I fired my rifle, but would return within a second or two. I figured the battery may have been loose and removed it and re-tightened the cover, and this seemed to cure the problem. Later on it developed these problem's in successive order where; 1. The switch to turn it off no longer functions. You have to take the battery out to turn it off. 2. The night vision button no longer works. 3.Finally the buttons to adjust the brightness no longer work as well. It's like a complete control mechanism failure. Now I have not replaced the battery, because the dot is still very bright but that seems to be the only thing that still works, it does function, you just have no control over how it does. It's never been dropped, on land or in water, or rough handled in any way, (they're supposed to be very tough anyways). I was just wondering if anybody else has seen these type of issues with one of these, or have any sugestions beyond changing the battery, which I will try before sending it back for warrantty repair/replacemant. The only other thing that I could mention is that it was kept a lot in my rifle case, and with the on/off control on the side if the constant pressure from the spounge/foam, has caused the controls to go wonky,(grasping at straws). Beyond that I don't know what could have happened to it. Any advise, suggestions or information about problems with these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! J.B.
