Hoping to tap into the group's knowledge and experience... I am considering mounting my Vortex Spitfire scope on a Ruger 10/22. Would anyone know if you can flip the base clamp over so the "base clamp hex nuts" would be on the left side of the scope/rifle? Without flipping the base around, the hex nuts end up really close to the bolt handle and I'm looking to keep the bolt handle open and accessible. Looking at the bottom of the base, it appears modification would be required and not sure it would even work the way the base is designed. So I thought I would ask around - maybe someone else has done this before?
