I have a spitfire on another rifle. I can transfer it over to the Ruger tonight and report back what I found with respect to if it can work.

The results of my test show that by closing my eyes and mounting the rifle to what would be the natural fit - when I open my eyes the reticule is just below optical center of the lens.
With eyes open and 5-6 mounting repetitions, I can get my eyes to center the reticle in the lens.
I suspect a 1/4 inch piece of foam under the cheek riser (between stock and riser) alignment would be ideal.
Note position of rear sling mount - its like the cheek riser was made to fit the rifle - almost dead center of the two mounting straps.
