Anyone have any experience with any of these sites? I've recently sent in my eotech for the refund and am needing to replace it. Any replacement suggestions in the 300-500 price range are welcome!

Thanks
Ben

I've handled the Strikefire 3X instore but have not shot with it. Glass seemed good but the reticle was pretty fine. Good for plinking at distance but not fast to pick up. A shooting buddy has a Burris 5x, I've shot with that one and the glass is excellent. The reticle is a little bulky and crowded. 5x was a bit much and I think 3x would be far better suited to a black rifle.

Its a bit of a caveat. The reticle is not intended for any kind of precision making the 5x mag a strange combination. FOV isn't bad but not great, overall I'd much prefer the 3x Burris. A 12x12" gong at 175 yds is massive viewed through the scope.

I'm this close to buying the 5x but that reticle though...

Oh I read Spitfire, not Strikefire. Spitfire I handled instore, strikefire I owned for a couple years, sold and never looked back. If budget is $500, look at the Aimpoint PRO for red dots.

^^^ This.

I just picked up my first Aimpoint PRO, but fired one on a friends XCR for years and loved it. Went to the store looking for a Strikefire/Spitfire, but couldn't turn it down. $550 out the door. A little above your budget, but worth it to me. They also have the ACO (Aimpoint Carbine Optic) for about $60 cheaper than the PRO, but if you are going to spend the money, get the PRO.

YMMV
