Vortex, strikefire < SPARC ?

The on button is a problem with the sparc.....they need to make it a hold for 3 seconds type switch like it is for the off, and also recess it some what so it's not so easy to push.

I like the esee knives like no question ask lifetime warrenty of the Vortex.. I went for a Sparc over the strikefire. Many people dont complain about accidentally turning it on so i guess there is a right way or trick to transport it.

How many hour can it run on a new battery? Not sure if i can trust what is advertised by Vortex.

One nice thing about the sparc is the dot is a bit smaller which I like. I have a handheld transceiver that had a similar issue with the button turning on when it got bumped and I ended up contact cementing a thick rubber o ring around the button. It's never turned on accidently since and is still easy to press with the tip of the finger.

Do you guys find the doubler on the Spark useful ?? I dont, it narrows down the field of view as well as blurs out a picture a bit.. also once its screwed on to the red dot, the cylinders dont align properly..
Anyone else agree?

Had my new strikefire out for the 1st time today.

It functioned great, but at some point, some sort of internal ring came loose and is now shifting around inside the tube.

Had no real effect on the dot position or sight line, but it's definitely not right.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

I should mention that the strikefire was immediately replaced at the store, no questions asked.

Good show! Thanks to Guncentre - Kitchener & Vortex.
