Got a viper hs lr 4-16x44 for my tikka 300 wsm since it had everything I wanted at an attractive price and with all the great reviews I figured it would be good to go. Took it to the range twice and the thing could not hold a zero! I thought maybe it was me but my other rifles shot fine that same day. Shot the same load that has been giving awesome results for the last 5 years but no luck. Spraying bullets all over at 200 yards. I thought vortex has an over the counter warranty but turns out that no longer exists so off to Ontario it went. Waiting to hear back if they will replace it. Disappointed for sure! Anyone else have issues with them not holding zero? Really wishing I would have went with the Zeiss HD5!!!!

Its rare but sometimes there's problems. The turn around is very good on them though you should get it back all tickety boo in no time. The warranty was never over counter. However in some provinces you have consumer protection and have an exchange period against defective products that are not readily apparent at the store. You need to know the laws as they apply were you live. You might have had buddy just #### you off under the pretext of sending it off for warrenty despite being abliged to offer an exchange or refund on defective product.

They have awesome warranty. Have to ship it to Guelph and then they will ship to USA. I bought a used PST 1-4 on the EE. It had an anomaly in the glass. I had a brand new one in my hands 4 weeks later after sending in to Vortex Canada.

There are quite a few threads on here about Vortex's excellent warranty service. That tells me to stay away from them.

What's good warranty service got to do with the quality of a product? Not only do they provide good service, there are countless numbers of users who are very satisfied with their products - especially for the price point that their models sit at.

hsld.
