I am thinking of purchasing one of these and was wondering if any one out there owns one and what their opinion of it is. My local shops don't have any in stock so I can't even look through one to see what that reticle is like. I have a viper pst sfp 6-24X50 with EBR reticle that I like but was considering the HS model just for that reticle.

Make sure you want the FFP, see if your shop has a model with it so you understand the difference of focal planes
all the shops anywheres near me don't have any that are FFP let alone one with that reticle ( only available on the Viper HS ) I want FFP for hunting on a 280AI that am building. I did however look through a viper pst FFP a long time ago and I was inpressed with how fine the reticle still was at max power ( not like a Bushnel that I compared it to) . I think the XLR reticle might be what I am looking for but wouldn want to order one and when it arrives find out the reticle is to thick.

That is the general idea with FFP scopes; measurements are the same at any magnification.
