I'm looking to buy a scope for my Sako A7 270WSM for long distance target shooting and hunting.
I really like the features of the Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP.
They have everything I'm looking for at a price that I can afford.
Don't want to spend more than $1200.00 for a scope.
Low profile turrets, elevation zero stop, FFP reticle, illuminated multi intensity reticle - these are all features I feel are necessary for what I want to do.
How do the optics compare to the other name brands?
Looking for a range evaluation of this model compared to the other makes in the same price range.
Any relevant input would be appreciated.

Got the Votex Viper 3-10x50mm & it's on par with the Conquest and Mark 4's. Just half the priece, although there Duplex or BDC selection sucks. I am also waiting for this scope to be released as I want the MRAD version.

I have a Vortex Viper 6.5-20X50 with BDC on my M700 SPS 25-06 and I love it. It is a similar scope with out the FFP reticle and illumination. I would think the optical quality would at least be on par with this one too. I will be getting one of the FFPs as soon as they are available here so I will try to keep you posted.

Who sells Vortex Scopes in Canada?
I have 1 for sale in the EE & the best thing is that the warenty is tied to the optic and not the person. Or Grouse Mountain & a couple of other's just check out vortexoptics.ca for more info.
