I just wanted to know how the Vortex Diamondback 1.75-5 is compared to the Bushnell Elite 3200, and /or the Burris FF II. How is it in low light?, does it even have fast focus?

Thanx
Marc

Diamond back and the elite 3200 are pretty close, the diamondback is a little superior, but not by too much. The Burris is right around that level too. I dont think you can go too far wrong with either, try them all out and see which one feels better with you.

The Powder Keg in Kamloops sells em too. I just picked a 4-12-40mm BDC up for 215, I think they are on this years prices now, but still it's around 240. I can't say how it really performs, as I haven't abused it yet and expected it to be around for me afterwards to take down some game, but at the range it's nice and clear, has fast focus, and seems very sharp to my eye.

The glass on the Burris Fullfield II is significantly better than the Elite 3200. It compares with the 4200.

95% light transmission for the Fullfield II. It's a good all around hunting scope. Not a lot of features, but it's well built with good glass. It looks decent too.

I have owned all three scopes that you mentioned, maybe not in that particular power range, but I have owned them all in the 3-9X40 class. My 3200 was a good scope, not the best edge to edge clarity, but then again the reticle is in the centre so I didn't worry about the edge being a little bit blurry. The Burris FFII was much better, edge to edge was crisp and bright and I found the clarity was good too. The Vortex I find is better than the 3200 and at least on par with the FFII. Edge to edge clarity and brightness are excellent, as is the scopes abiltiy to return to zero after making adjustments for range or wind compensation. I also like the fact that the warranty is handled by the Canadian Distributer in Guelph Ontario. You don't have to worry about shipping it back across the border and so on. If you need help finding a Vortex scope, dropme a PM, I can help you out.
