I played with one down at Shot, and only finally got around to wrapping up the video. I was a little cagey about this unit to start with, because I have used a wide variety of range-finders and am pretty damn picky. (I got to the point where I would only ever buy a Leica or a Leupold)
But this was very cool. The display is a huge point for me, and the vortex one did exactly what I needed it to. The angle compensator without the silly ballistics is a good choice. (I already have a BC, and the one in my rangefinder will never be as good)
Take a look!

I think I'd probably get rid of the belt clip. But its very nice in the hands and definitely worth considering.
Vortex is listing a $550 MSRP, which makes me think they'll probably retail for the $460 kind of mark. Considering a leupold with inclinometer is pushing $570 I'm curious to see what happens with the Ranger.
