Not sure where else to post this.

I'm curious as to CGNs policy on use of a VPN. The only thing in the rules I could find mention "anonymous proxy", which a VPN is not.

"2. Using anonymizer proxy to access CGN is not allowed. Account could be suspended immediately if the user uses anonymizer proxy to access CGN."

I have a VPN on my computer and usually forget to turn it off before logging on here, which usually results in a blocked IP message. I'm sure other members have the same issue as I.

I find it curious seeing as we're all browsing things on here that a good chunk of the country wants banned. Why would I want a nosy neighbour or a government agency being granted free reign through my internet history, particularly here?

Old guy with absolutely no idea what your talking about ! I wouldn't worry about it to much as there's lots of government types lurking here anyway !

your government / CSIS knows what you do anyways and the popo is most likely tracking your activity here already.

Your neighbor doesnt know what you do, unless you are using his wifi, which you should not anyways

The rules refer to an "anonymizer proxy" specifically and i dont know if a "normal" proxy would be allowed?

A VPN encrypts your internet traffic so any outside party cannot see what you are viewing. While a "government type" may see what I post here, they're limited to my CGN profile in what they can find out about me.
