could anyone tell me what is the size of thread on the 597 vtr's free float tube?? i need to get the nut for my new handguard either re-threaded or a new one made, but i can't find what size thread is on the vtr.

Your new hand guard should screw right on or delta ring.

unfortunately, my budget for a rimfire did not allow for a real Daniel Defense quad-rail ... so I had to settle for Air$hits parts... and the ring that came with the handguard is metric.. and the vtr is not...

dont need a delta ring . its a special lock ring designed for this rail.
