Any thoughts?, worth the price, glass , tracking and illuminations? , I have a Tikka Varmint ( Bushnell LRTS 4.5 -,18 x 44) and 457 Varmint Match, Can switch these 2 optics wherever is more appropriate . Thanks

Great scope for a .22, has lots of internal adjustment, 10 mil/rev elevation travel, and the EBR-7C reticle is also really good. Put a 40-50moa rail on the 457 and you can shoot all the way to 500m with .22lr.

There are also lots of people that just hate vortex, the other option is the Athlon Midas TAC. Very similar specs and price...

Was also considering the Athlon STac, but can’t seem to find an actual in person scope in any local GS.

Pretty sure you already know the technical specs so wont mention those. Been using the Strike eagle for about 8 months now. It has a bunch of great features and the only thing that has let me down now and then is the person behind it. Used it to shoot between 58-420y in a match in Merritt a few weeks ago on my 22 and the strike eagle performed perfectly after dialing up 21mil for that 420y shots. For me personally I wouldn't go for anything but Vortex due to that VIP warranty. Will be getting a centerfire rifle in the near future for PRS and will be swapping the strike eagle between the two rifles as needed without worry.

You cant go wrong with it IMHO.

I think you lose a bunch of elevation on the strike Eagle once you use the zero stop. Vortex is a waste of time unless it's the razor gen 2. Get the Athlon midas tac like was suggested in your other thread.

The midas tac is as good if not better than the Viper gen 2 and the Viper is better than the strike Eagle...

After having a chance to look the SE and Tac S and the PST2 in person, decided to go for the PST2, was able to close a deal from a cgner with a very reasonable price brandnew.
