This scope model line is now discontinued to be replaced by the VX-6 sometime this summer. Don't know why it is gone but I supect not high enough sales for the investment and effort involved. Not every swing is a home run even for Leupold. Phil.

That's what I was thinking. I was one that that thought that the vx7 was not worth the extra 50% more than the vx3. Having said that,I did just pick up a used 1.75x6x24 VX7 for an amazing $550.00 and am planning to put it on a .375 h&h. The clarity at dusk is incredible. Well built but so are the vx3's for less money.

Very interesting first post. Since I didn't see a little smiley face I assume your not kidding. I didn't think I came across as an expert ot knowing everything but someone who was connected deep in the industry and was able to comment based on my experience. Phil.
