Ok all you Mauser dudes First off i hope i dont offend anyone calling the Vz 24 a mauser . Anyway This was Radio Roz`s idea . We were at the gun show in Calgary yesterday . And she kept dragging me around and looking at Mausers
and im thinking that maybe for a lefty she is a closet Nazi.
Anyway i wasnt too impressed with what was there mostly due to cost . Anyway my buddy said we should check out his gun store . so i did and this puppy was there .

I must confess i know little about them hence this post , its a mis match but it is clean and crisp .as is the rifling, it has had at some time been fitted with a scope as the top of the reciever has been drilled and there are some grub screws in there . which got the price down a bit ,( i just love it when some one says make me an offer) i said to her later if she wants to scope it then at least we ent got to bubba it as it already has been . the only problem is trying ti figure out what type of mount was fitted .

It has CESKOLOVENSKA ZBROJOVKA BRNO stamped on top of the reciever
the serial number has what looks like a poorly stamped F before the last number(1) and above that looks like 2 illegible stamps and number 26
not much else really . so we humbly await the awesome knowlege of gunnutters to give us the scoop .
Like although its a Yugo did the Fuhrer go gophering with it . or the personal elephant rifle of Tito ?

Bolt handle is turned down. I suspect this is a restored sporter. If it's m/m you should locate an unbent bolt body for it. Depends how far you want to go with it, but the scope tap holes could be filled with screws and spot-welded in place, the areas dressed, and obliterated markings recut and the action reblued, but probably not worth the effort?
