Hi all,

I've been doing a lot of searching on an alternative rear sight for the BRNO VZ-24.

I've searched for a rear sight that doesn't require any gunsmithing, and I've only seen the Mojo sight systems as the only choice.

I've reached out to one of the sponsors but unfortunately due to the high $ exchange, they aren't able to import the Mojo sights.

I've currently set my VZ-24 as a scout rifle using the AIM mount and a NCStar LER scope. Later on, I want to go back to a peep / open / iron sights but right now, I can't find a good alternate. The stock sights are just hard to acquire the target in my experience.

Will making the "v" notch bigger on the VZ-24 help acquire the target better?

Also interested in this... the VZ24 rear sight notch is tiny, very difficult to pick it up. I'd pick up a Mojo rear sight if I could find one around. I love my VZ24, the tiny rear notch is the only flaw that I can see in the rifle.

This Mojo Sight looks like one I've never seen before, but it's made for the VZ24 and a lot of other Mausers. I'm much better with a Peep sight. So where can you get this one?

That is what I did with my VZ-24. Used a file and opened it up a bit.

I posted a WTB for a Mojo sight and I picked one up from a fellow CGNer. It's the older one (without the click adjustment) which uses the allen key to adjust the height. I've yet to install it.

Don't you mess up the bluing like that? Do you have a picture of what you did?

$75 US in the states for the rear. They offer the front sight as well, but it's definitely not the problem.

I just used a fine triangle file and did maybe two light strokes. Then cold blued the notch. Your not taking much off, just enough to get a clearer sight picture.
