Got it from Lever Arms in Vancouver.
Riflings are good and the round is not "sinking" into the crown.
But for some reason the bore is not shiny like my SKS...
Cleaned it with a snake that has brass brush. A bit better but still does not shine.
Could it be chrome that makes my SKS bore shine? Or I need to clean the VZ better?
Any advise welcome.

Run some boiling water down the bore to melt any cosmoline. Scrub it really well, run patches through it until it's spotless.

The bore may be dark though, it may never be shiney. If the rifling is strong the accuracy should still be fine.

For decades old grime and gunk in a bore, I find coating it with a good multipurpose grease and letting it sit for a week or 2 works really well before you start all the scrubbing.

I use Hobbes No. 9 if I want to clean up the bore. If I remember correctly the VZ-24 never had a chromelined barrel so it isn't going to be as shiny as the SKS barrel no matter what.
