So... when are they gonna make some vz type rifles in 308win? Maybe something with a longer barrel, dragunov type wood stock...

I have already asked this question before and people from Wolverine told that it is impossible, because of the size of the receiver. So it will not happen.

Not possible to do without new mags, new barrel, lengthening the receiver, new bolt carrier and dust cover... A lot of expense for minimal return.

There are lots relatively easy conversions out there.. .308 not being one of them.

Ahhhh!!!
So the truth is finnaly coming out. When should we expect the 6.8 conversion kit?

IIRC, there was a prototype of a 7.62 NATO VZ-58 made in the 60's, called the AP-Z 67.

I doubt many were made, though.

Ah to bad, a dragunov clone(in looks only) in 762x54r or 308win with internals based on the vz58 would be a nice way around the prohib foolishness.

If we ask for it they will make it. SA vzor 58 is made mainly for czech market we are important % but not deciding. If there will be demend for them in Czech Republik they will make them in 308 but I doubt it. Most czech gun owners are target shooters so the prefer 7.62x39 and 223
